Fan clubs of the renowned Kazakh singer Dimash Qudaibergen — DQ Dears Astana, Eurasian Dimash Fan Club and Dimash Ukraine Dears EFC — have donated 290 skeins of wool yarn to the 28 Stitches Club Astana for newborns with low birth weight ahead of the artist’s birthday.
The official news site of Qudaibergen reported on the moving campaign.
The organization has been supporting premature babies for several years. Due to premature birth and low body weight, such babies are unable to maintain their body temperature on their own, so they require special care and constant warmth. Therefore, garments made of pure wool are vital for them.
The volunteers will knit socks, hats, vests and blankets for newborns. All items are handmade from 100% wool and help babies adapt more easily and grow stronger.
«May warm clothing, gentle hands, and warm hearts help more babies grow stronger and healthier as soon as possible,» Dimshnews cited fans’ wishes when making the donation.
The campaign is running through Qudaibergen’s birthday — on May 24, the artist turns 32. The club has already begun making festive sets for babies, which will be knitted on behalf of the artist and his fans.
The club members expressed their gratitude to the initiative participants, emphasizing the symbolic significance of the project.
«Can kindness be measured in skeins of yarn? It turns out, it can… 290 skeins = hundreds of warm stories that are just beginning. Very soon they will become: tiny socks, vests, hats, and blankets for premature babies. For them, warmth is a chance to live and grow stronger,» Dimashnews cited the craftswomen.
