On Jan. 27, South Korean tech firm Samsung Electronics, which has been a Worldwide Olympic Partner since the Olympic Winter Games Nagano 1998, unveiled an exclusive edition of its Galaxy Z Flip7 smartphone for the athletes of the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, according to the company’s release.
Around 3,800 participants of the Olympics and Paralympics from 90 countries will receive the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition. The company aims to enhance their experiences in every moment of the event — from their stay in the Olympic Village to competitions and celebrations.
The special edition smartphone will feature internet access via a 100GB 5G eSIM, including digital passes and services to facilitate daily routines during the event. There will also be services such as Galaxy Athlete Card for exchanging digital profiles, Athlete365 for mental support, and an on-device interpreter capable of working offline, supporting 23 languages. The company will also run a «Victory Selfie» campaign in which medal winners can capture selfies while on the podium.
The body of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition smartphone has a blue finish with a gold metal frame. The package also includes a cover with a blue circular magnet, encircled by golden laurel leaves.
According to Samsung, the Olympic edition smartphone will not be available for retail.
Separately, Kursiv.media reported that the Mongolian National Olympic Committee has officially presented the ceremonial uniform for the country’s national team at the Winter Olympics, which generated significant buzz online.
