Kazakh language music with explicit lyrics hits HÖR Berlin

Kazakhstani DJ Arkadiy F performed on the cult Berlin-based stream HÖR Berlin, featuring remixes of Kazakh tracks, including those containing explicit language. A profanity-laced track with humorous lyrics in Kazakh was aired on one of the world’s most recognizable online platforms for DJs.

This is not the first appearance of Kazakhstani artists on the platform; however, this set sparked a particularly strong reaction on social media. Listeners discussed the bold track selection and the cultural context. The local underground scene unexpectedly found itself on a global stream.

Musically, the set was rich in genres, spanning trance, bass and vintage garage. A mashup included the track «Мен қазақпын» («Men Kazakhpyn,» Eng. «I Am a Kazakh») by the young Kazakhstani rapper known as Edo Hunnidz, the original version of which was a viral sensation between 2024 and 2025. The song gained fame for its satirical message and ironic delivery.

Users in the comment section called the performance a «historic moment» and asked for track names.
