Aliyev described his first steps toward what he called «greater awareness.» According to the businessman, the death of a loved one prompted him to reassess his outlook on life.
«I can say one thing: when people in your life leave us and pass on to the next world, you begin to understand that we exist in this world. And that spiritual world, the subtle plane, is always with us,» Aliyev said.
Spiritual initiative and public appearances
Aliyev, the son of Dariga Nazarbayeva and late Rakhat Aliyev, said that reality and the spiritual world coexist and influence one another. He also posted a photo on social media with producer Maxim Akbarov and boxer Zhankosh Turarov.
Both men expressed support for Nurali’s recent spiritual initiative, Spark of Light. As part of the project, Aliyev and other self-described «guru-mentors» plan to lead educational and spiritual practices to increase awareness. Aliyev has also repeatedly spoken to his followers about what he describes as the therapeutic properties of psychedelics.
Aliyev’s father died in Austria on Feb. 24, 2015, under circumstances authorities described as mysterious.
